Traditional Thai massage requires loose fitting clothes. This can include but is not limited to shorts, tank tops, and other light, loose fitting attire. However, please feel free to arrive dressed in any clothing. We provide clean, lightweight, loose clothing for each client to change into before their massage. For our Thai Oil Massage and Herbal Compress Massage, we have our clients undress and cover with a sheet for the treatment.
You can take your belongings with you into the massage room.
Yes! We encourage you to communicate with your therapist. At the start of your treatment, let your therapist know your needs and medical conditions. Our therapists are trained to deal with a variety of needs. Most services are customizable, and your therapist can adjust to your needs, as well as make recommendations that pertain specifically to you and your well-being.
Although we do not charge a cancellation fee, please note that we are a small business and are dependent on our customers keeping their appointments. Because massage services have been reserved for you, we ask that you notify us in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. Therefore, we have a policy that if any customer misses their appointment without cancelling in advance for three (3) times, they will need to pay ahead for their next appointments going forward. That payment will not be refundable.

We understand that many different things can cause you to be late for your scheduled appointment. If this is the case, please call us at 510-525-2826 as soon as possible to notify us of the delay. If you arrive late for your appointment, Metta team will do its best to accommodate your session. However, if we have a tight schedule, this may result in a shorter version of your scheduled service in order to give the next scheduled on-time client their full service.
Leaving gratuity is appropriate for a job well done. Most tips range from 20% and up of the price of the service provided. For your convenience, tips can be given directly to your therapist, or during check out at the front desk. Tips may be given in cash, Visa, or MasterCard.
